Charity Partners

Afrinov Logo -01

AfriNov is a Kenyan-based charity that sends trained peacekeepers to rural tribal communities to provide preventative conflict resolution training and workshops to assist (particularly women in the communities) in establishing culturally respectful methodologies for non-violent co-existence. Two years ago, AfriNov identified a gap in their services – the need for trained mediators to assist with conflicts that had already arisen in and amongst these communities. Ardis has established a partnership with AfriNov by providing scholarships for trained AfriNov peacemakers to become certified mediators through the Mediation Training Institute of East Africa (the same program where Ardis founder, Michele Stumpe was certified).

LOGO ALMA

The Alma Domestic Violence Foundation, formerly Alma G. Davis Foundation, was founded in 2005 by Alma G. Davis as a result of her own personal trials and triumphs with domestic violence. “Having received my own first set of black eyes at the tender age of 14, I felt it was only right to reach back and grab those who are pushing their way forward,” says founder Alma G. Davis. Now a respected businesswoman and community leader, Davis has made it her passion to uplift women and teen survivors. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the foundation serves thousands of victims at 64 facilities across the state. Alma is a safe haven for all--ready to save and assist in the rebuilding process to ensure victims can be survivors.  Ardis is proud to provide pro bono legal services and volunteer support for this great organization.  To learn more, click HERE

COFC BLACK OUTLINE W BOX

Children of Conservation was co-founded by Ardis leaders Kerry Stumpe and Michele Stumpe along with friend and client, Myrna Antar of Novare Events.  Many iconic African animals will become extinct within our lifetimes. The primary threats are hunting, habitat loss and disease. Chimpanzees and gorillas are hunted as a source of meat. In addition, entire families are killed to satisfy an ever-growing foreign pet trade. Elephants and rhinos are killed for their tusks and horns. Deforestation by foreign investors results in habitat loss for all these animals.  Children of Conservation is dedicated to the conservation and protection of endangered species through education, habitat preservation and wildlife sanctuary and conservation worker support.  Children of Conservation has provided over 2000 educational scholarships to children throughout Africa supporting approximately 450 kids every year.  The organization has also built 2 schools in Zambia where it also supports a school lunch program for over 200 kids every school day.  To learn more, click HERE

LOGO - SAVE THE ELEPHANTS

Save the Elephants works to secure a future for elephants. Specialising in elephant research, they provide scientific insights into elephant behaviour, intelligence, and long-distance movements and apply them to the challenges of elephant survival and harmonious coexistence with humanity.  High-tech tracking helps plan landscapes while low-tech beehive fences, among other tools, provide people and communities living with elephants with protection as well as income.  Education and outreach programmes share these insights with local communities as the true custodians of this rich heritage.  Save the Elephants runs the Elephant Crisis Fund in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Network, providing flexible and responsive support to NGOs combatting the ivory trade, promoting human-elephant coexistence, and protecting elephant landscapes.  Ardis Law is proud to provide pro bono legal support for this important cause.  To learn more, click HERE
