Mitch’s entry into beverage law was as natural as a well-pulled pour. A longtime homebrewer and self-described craft beer obsessive, he found the perfect intersection of passion and profession when he joined Taylor, Feil, Harper, and Lumsden P.C. (d/b/a TFH Legal). There, he cultivated a highly specialized practice in hospitality law and developed a particular affinity for supplier-tier compliance—the intricate, often underappreciated layer of regulation that shapes how beverages move from producer to consumer. He continued building that expertise at Taylor Duma, LLP, refining his command of an industry where the rules are as complex as the products are creative.
Mitch knows the beverage industry from the inside out—literally. Between his time at Taylor Duma, LLP and Ardis Law, he stepped into the business itself, serving as the Director of Compliance for New Realm Brewing Co. In that role, he managed the regulatory complexity of six facilities and a sales footprint spanning 35 states—navigating everything from hemp and spirits compliance to multi-state supplier-tier licensing in real time, with real stakes. Few attorneys bring that level of firsthand operational perspective to the table.
Back at Ardis Law, Mitch is doing what he does best: partnering closely with hospitality businesses at every stage—from initial licensing and structuring to multi-jurisdictional expansion and ongoing compliance. Whether a client is opening their first taproom or scaling a spirit’s brand across dozens of states, Mitch brings the full weight of his regulatory knowledge, courtroom training, and industry experience to bear.
Mitch lives in Atlanta, GA. When he’s not untangling the finer points of a licensing application, you’ll find him at a local craft brewery or distillery, talking shop with the people making things by hand—or out exploring Atlanta’s restaurant scene with his family, glass in hand and curiosity intact.
